Testimonials
Clear Sky Events were recommended to us by Peak Venues and we’re very glad he was! Alan Little was our event manager and he organised a team build event for 22 people in Longnor and the surrounding areas for us, from start to finish he was professional, helpful and happy to ensure the event fitted our requirements. We took part in a Murder Mystery style event that saw us split into teams to compete with each other to get the clues and then join back together at the end over drinks to put the pieces together. The team had a great time in brilliant sunshine across a very scenic route. Alan was on the ground throughout the event and provided photographs of our event for free . Overall, very happy and wouldn’t hesitate to use again or recommend to others.
As a Vistage Chair providing peer to peer advisory facilities for groups of CEOs and MDs through monthly group meetings; 121 coaching sessions and annual retreats it is essential that I forge links with professional service companies and I classify Clear Sky Events as key in that network. I recently used Clear Sky Events to provide a two-day retreat in the Peak District and they were given a very detailed brief; my group were all CEOs of businesses with turnovers exceeding £30M each; which they met completely with efficiency and enthusiasm. The location they provided in Longnor was exceptional and catering and accommodation was first class. We were provided with conference facilities for the first day and then undertook an orienteering murder mystery scenario which was exceptional and kept the group fully occupied for over 8 hours – member feedback after the event identified venue, location and event management as exceptional professionalism. I will be using Clear Sky Associates again next year and I have placed a recommendation into the global Vistage network.
From the start of this project Alan and his team at Clear SkyEvents took time to understand our requirements. They then assisted us in putting together an event to meet those requirements, delivered the event professionally and followed up with all delegates. The participants found the event interesting, educational, fun and developmental. I would not hesitate to recommend Alan and the team to any organisation looking to run such an event.
Alan Little organised an interactive and fun team event for our team. The event was superbly organised, the team were incredibly helpful and friendly and everyone had great fun. The team development event provided a perfect balance of interactive tasks and business related team development. It was the first team event for the team and we weren’t sure what to expect – it exceeded our expectations, everyone had a really good time. I’d definitely recommend his company to friends, clients and business partners. Alan delivered a full range of team development tasks, evening activities and icebreakers. He listened carefully to what we wanted and delivered a great tailor made event.
Alan Little (the organiser and director of ClearSky Events) hosted a Team Navigation Event at Helmsley in the North York Moors National Park for the York offices of Authentix in July 2016. It was obvious that Alan had done substantial preparation setting up the event and tailoring it to our requests. We began with a rendezvous at a café which opened especially for us for a ‘full Yorkshire’ breakfast. Alan divided us into groups of five and each group was given the background story to our themed navigation event. Each group was given a map on which had been marked places where clues would be found and each group chose which direction they would take. Tactics, team-building and navigational skills had to be used as the plan was to see which group would collect the necessary clues so they could crack the code first. Alan used a bicycle to traverse between the groups and to encourage us and help us find the clues he had hidden demonstrating that he had contingency/safety arrangements in hand; he had planned for everything we needed. The group met again later at the new Rievaulx Visitor Centre where final calculations were done to name the traitor.
The event which Alan Little facilitated for Homeserve was focused on improving team engagement for people from different sites who wouldn’t ordinarily work together. The activity was enjoyable and provided the opportunity for the team to recharge and receive some praise and recognition.
Since the event we have identified that for sustainable high employee engagement, the learning from the event needs to be transferred back the workplace to achieve all of the four drivers identified above. Thank you to Alan and his team for facilitating an enjoyable and positive event.
